Strawberries and ‘cream’ Wimbledon smoothie
We love it when the Championships at Wimbledon get underway and people are inspired to get out on court and give tennis a go. It’s always important to stay hydrated and powered up when taking to a tennis court, particularly when the summer heat is on. So, what better way to ensure you’re taking enough good stuff on board than by whipping up a delicious, Wimbledon-inspired strawberries and ‘cream’ smoothie?
Perfect for helping with that vital pre-match hydration and to give you all the energy you’ll need, our friend and expert nutritionist Steve Grant Health has come up with a brilliant recipe – and it’s so simple to make.
Just blend the following ingredients and enjoy:
- Two heaped tsp cashew butter
- 150ml coconut milk (from a carton)
- 25g protein powder (any flavour)
- 1 tsp honey/maple syrup (for added sweetness)
- 40g oats
- 140g strawberries (frozen or fresh)
- 150ml water
Steve’s top tip is to soak the oats in the coconut milk overnight to avoid the smoothie having a powdery taste
